Bath dreams

Spa days here I come! Ok well maybe not real spa days but having a master bath that feels like a daily retreat is right up my alley.  Just looking at the mood board above sends me to a land of bubble baths, plush organic towels, and all the relaxation vibes a gal could hope for. With that in mind lets get into the details. I’ve put in several links so feel free to check them out and be inspired.

We started with this classic navy blue double vanity from Willow Bath and Vanity.  It’s got a timeless shape, quartz countertop, tons of storage and compartments, beautiful brushed gold hardware, and soft close drawers and hinges.  Yes that’s right, soft close. No slamming of cabinetry means continued zen space. Ahhh.  In pairing the sink faucets we’ve decided to incorporate the mixed metals trend.  Honestly, whether in fashion or home decor, I love seeing mixed metal elements. Keeps things less matchy matchy. The key is to be thoughtful about placement and tying it all together.  The faucets are Moen Doux Chrome that present water in a flat silky ribbon like flow.  The design is simple and modern.  To tie back in with the gold vanity hardware we are adding Peloton glass and gold sconces and a beveled gold framed mirror with a slight art deco vibe.  I think the mirrors and sconces will bring an understated glam to the room.

Hello bubble baths.  After thoughtful consideration regarding the shower/tub, and the room functionality, we decided on this oversized Kaldewei Puro combo.  The tub will sit inside three walls of elongated crisp white Italian ceramic subway tile and one glass shower door.  The mixture of the two will feel open and bright.  To bring things back together with the vanity faucets we’ve selected a Moen Via Chrome Posi-Temp set.  See what we did there with the mixed metal again, uh huh. To round this all out, we will use Benjamin Moore Cloud White paint. This color is stunning with both warm and cool accents.

Now let us discuss the royal throne. It’s not the most glamorous of topics but an essential nonetheless.  A sleek skirted throne isn’t only for looks but it’s waaaay easier to clean. This Kohler Valiant fits the bill.  If only it came in gold…Too much?

I think I’m most excited about the Carrera 8” Hexagon floor tile though.  I just fancy it the mostest (yes I said mostest)! It’s got thin gray marbled veins that work lovely with the vanity top.

Last but not least, you can’t have a spa-like space without luxurious towels and incredible aroma.   If you’re going to take care of yourself why not go one step further and invest in some organic cotton spa towels.  These are Boll & Branch and they are GOTS-certified, Fair Trade-certified, and their production is also certified standard 100 by OEKO-TEX.  You can feel good wrapping yourself in a towel that feels amazing and also feel good about the how it’s made.  Winning!  The Benevolence Los Angeles candle you see here is hands down my favorite candle brand.  These non-toxic clean burning candles are made from organic soy with pure essential oils and phthalate-free fragrances.  The scent options are divine.  When purchased a percentage of these candles also support the charity Zoe International, a charity working to stop human trafficking and provide healing to victims.  You can breath easy and know you are supporting a great cause. This durable basket hamper is from West Elm and the too cute for words teak stool is Serena and Lily.

Now please excuse me while I retreat and put up a sign that says “Do Not Disturb, tranquility and leisure in progress.”
