Ok so maybe not an ACTUAL crown, but a sense of glamour and fabulousness that comes from wearing one and makes you feel like a Boss . No matter who you are we all need space in our lives that feels like ours. My vision of the Queen’s Closet will set the tone for the entire day. If you walk into a room that ignites vision, inspiration, confidence, and a strong sense of self then you can go through your day feeling fully dressed. Oh and in the words of darling Annie, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile” so make sure to wear that too.
A closet, no matter the size, can make a statement and show just as much personality as any other room in the house. I’m also here to tell you that you can do it on a budget! For example, the closet in the photo is inspiration I found from Teresa Caruso’s detailed post on how she designed her custom space. She did it with the affordable Ikea Pax system and it turned out beautifully! It’s fully customizable and goes to show that you can have an expensive West Coast dream closet design for way less money.
I also just adore soft textures like this faux fur rug and velvety storage ottoman. Like I’ve learned from Simply Kate Organization (@simply_kate_organization), having decorative storage options is both practical and pretty. Both things a Queen’s closet should be. My advice, to keep things on budget is to pick one thing as a splurge item. Take the chandelier pictured above. It’s a stunning Restoration Hardware crystal chandelier that becomes the true statement piece. Then things like the ottoman, rug, vanity decor you can shop for deals on. My favorite places to bargain hunt are Overstock, Home Goods, and even Amazon. Keep your eyes peeled for sales at the fancy places too…You never know when you might snag that statement piece for half price!
Regardless of how you design your closet, just keep in mind it is a reflection of you. YOU my friend are nothing short of incredible! xo
