I know some of you are looking at this place and getting scared but just listen to these stats.  She’s sitting on over an acre lot (nice and roomy), quiet dead end street, large pool (mentally working on my tan already), almost 2500 sqft, 4 bedrooms, new roof (total bonus), built in 1970, Midcentury Mediterranean mix vibe, ranch style, lots of light, guest suite (Chip and Jo you’re always welcome), it’s in Sarasota and it’s a super easy drive to one of the most heavenly beaches, Siesta Key. The best part…It’s OURS!  See, there are a lot of pros to this property and honestly we both love a challenge.  Luckily neither of us is afraid of a little dirt and sweat…Which is good because this place definitely has some 1970s dirt hiding out in its corners. Yuck. 

The plan is to open up a couple walls giving more space for dining/living areas.  This means we will lose a bedroom but will convert the once formal living room to a bedroom.  We are planning to rework the guest bath and gut just about everything.  I do hope to save some of the original fixtures for later decor.  I love an up-to-date midcentury modern vibe and I want to maintain some of the house’s original character that way too. Before we get to decor though we gotta start ripping things out.  Can’t wait!
